The Hi Tech HC-263 is a 63A two-pole rotary changeover switch that lets you move a single-phase load between two sources, like your mains supply and a generator. The dial has three positions, 1, 0 and 2, so you can also park it in the middle off position. Inside it uses copper contacts and it’s rated up to 690V. It mounts on a panel or board and the mounting bolts come in the box.

The Hi Tech HC-263 changeover switch gives you a simple way to move your load from mains to generator and back with one turn of the handle. It’s a 63A two-pole switch with a 1-0-2 pattern, so position 0 in the middle keeps both sources disconnected until you pick one.

Here’s how people usually wire and use the HC-263:

Feed your mains supply into one pair of terminals and your generator into the other.
Take the load out from the common terminals to your board or the circuit you’re switching.
Turn to 1 for the first source, 0 to disconnect both, and 2 for the second source.
Keep the load at or under 63A for the pole you’re using.
Mount it on a panel or inside an enclosure using the bolts that come in the box.

This is a manual switch, so you turn it by hand when the power changes. It doesn’t sense the supply or switch on its own, so for automatic transfer you’d need an ATS instead. Wiring should be done by a qualified electrician.
